COMMERCIAL EXCELLENCE · FACILITATION · CUSTOM eLEARNING
Helm & Harbor Advisory helps life sciences and technology organizations sharpen commercial performance, run meetings that move work forward, and build learning people actually finish, including custom safety training for construction companies.
Steady leadership. Trusted partnership. Teams built to last.
At Helm & Harbor, we believe lasting results come from relationships, not one-time transactions. We don’t hand over a deliverable and disappear. We come alongside your team as a trusted partner, take the time to understand your people, your culture, and the pressures you face, and then build solutions that fit. Whether we’re strengthening a commercial team, developing leaders, facilitating a meeting, or designing eLearning, our goal stays the same: build excellent teams that are confident, capable, and ready for whatever comes next. Our name reflects how we work. The helm stands for steady, clear-eyed leadership. The harbor stands for the trust and safety that let people grow. We measure success by the teams that keep performing long after our work is done and by the partnerships that last.
Steady guidance for teams that sell, teach and launch.

How We Can Help
Commercial Excellence & Leadership Development
Your field team is your biggest investment. We help you get more from it. We start by finding the gaps holding your team back, then build the processes, policies, and systems that help people grow, from launch readiness and CRM adoption to developing the managers who lead the team every day.
Field force effectiveness reviews, gap analysis, and improvement plans
Policies, procedures, and playbooks that make expectations clear and keep the team compliant
Launch readiness and sales training curricula
CRM and new-process adoption programs
Performance and development systems that encourage growth and reward progress
First-line leader development and one-on-one coaching
Ongoing monthly advisory for commercial and training leaders
Best for: commercial, sales training, and operations leaders preparing for a launch, a reorganization, or a new system, or who sense something isn’t working and want a clear picture of why.
Meeting Planning & Facilitation
Learning people actually finish. We build courses that are instructionally sound and on brand, whether they need to pass medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) review, meet HIPAA and OSHA requirements, or keep a construction crew safe on site.
Needs analysis and learning design
Storyboards, scripts, and knowledge checks
SCORM courses ready for your LMS
Microlearning modules for quick, on-the-job refreshers
Product, disease-state, and process training
Onboarding programs that get new hires confident and productive faster
Soft and essential skills training, such as communication, coaching, time management, and customer service
HIPAA and compliance training for healthcare teams and practices
OSHA safety and compliance training for any workplace, including hazard communication, bloodborne pathogens, emergency action plans, and workplace safety basics
Custom construction safety modules that support OSHA compliance, built around OSHA standards and your own site procedures, such as fall protection, scaffolding and ladder safety, equipment safety, and new-hire site orientation
Customer education email series and newsletters that keep your audience informed and engaged
Retention frameworks with spaced review, recall practice, and refreshers, so knowledge keeps growing after the course ends
Licensing of ready-made courses
Best for: life sciences and technology companies that need training built well and built fast, healthcare practices and other workplaces that need compliant, practical OSHA and HIPAA training, and construction companies that need OSHA-compliant safety training made for their own crews and job sites.
Custom eLearning Design
National meetings, workshops, and working sessions should end with decisions, not just slides. More importantly, they should change how people work. We design every meeting around the behaviors leadership wants to see in the field. We set the agenda, prepare the content, and run the room, in person or virtual. Then we build the follow-up that turns what was learned into lasting habits for each person, the team, and the company.
National and regional sales meeting design
Workshop and breakout facilitation
Cross-functional alignment and planning sessions
Agendas, facilitator guides, and participant materials
Post-meeting assessments that measure recall and retention
Reinforcement and follow-up learning that builds on what was taught
Best for: leaders who need a meeting to do more than inform, who want clear outcomes, a plan people follow, and visible behavior change in the field long after the event ends.
Founder & Head of Operations
I’m Faith Cagle, MS, PhD, founder of Helm & Harbor Advisory.
I’ve spent more than 20 years learning one lesson: training doesn’t fail in the classroom. It fails in the weeks after, when people go back to their real work and nothing around them has changed. My career has been about closing that gap, first in education and then in pharma and biotech, most recently leading commercial enablement within the Life Science Industry.
My work lives where strategy meets the field. That means curricula that hold up in MLR review, CRM rollouts reps actually use, and meetings that end with decisions instead of slide decks. My doctorate in Organizational/Educational Leadership shapes how I build all of it. I ground every project in how adults actually learn, so my training doesn’t just share information. It changes habits and behaviors, and the results show up in how people do their jobs every day.
I started Helm & Harbor to give organizations senior-level expertise without a full-time hire. You get one experienced partner who plans the work, does the work, and stays with you until it lands.
How I Work
Start with the outcome.
Every project begins with one question: what has to be different when we’re done? We build backward from that, not from a list of deliverables.
Build it with you.
Your team is in the work from day one. Their insight makes it fit, and their ownership keeps it going long after I step back.
Measure what changes.
Completion rates and smile sheets don’t count as success. Success is new habits, lasting behavior change, and performance you can see on the job.
